We want you to feel completely safe when driving a KINTO car. That’s why we make it clear how your car is insured and give you the option to reduce your deductible to avoid unexpected costs. All our cars are fully insured through Gjensidige DK Insurance.
What type of insurance is included?

Our car insurance covers the vehicle and any damage for which the driver may be held liable. Liability insurance is mandatory for registered vehicles. Comprehensive insurance covers most damage to the car.

Normally, rental cars have a much higher deductible than privately owned cars. We offer the option to reduce your deductible through our insurance partner Tryg. You can select this in the KINTO Share app or on our website when booking. Read more (in Danish) here.

Coverage when purchasing deductible insurance
Coverage under the optional deductible insurance requires compliance with KINTO’s current rules and terms.
Condition for insurance coverage
The user must:
- Perform a thorough check of the vehicle’s interior and exterior before use
- Report any defects or damages via the app before starting the trip, and immediately notify KINTO of any incidents during the booking period
Failure to comply may result in loss or limitation of coverage under the optional deductible insurance.
Note: There may be circumstances and exceptions not explicitly stated in the rental terms that can still affect insurance coverage. It is therefore important that the user carefully reviews the conditions for the deductible insurance.

Theft of detached accessories is only covered if stored in a locked compartment.

When and how do I pay?

Your reduced deductible insurance is paid before your trip starts and is charged together with the rental.
When does coverage start and end?

The insurance takes effect when your trip begins.

How can I cancel the agreement?

Liability and comprehensive insurance are included in the rental and cannot be canceled by you. However, you can cancel your choice of reduced deductible insurance before your trip begins.
What are my obligations?

In case of damage, you must contact us as soon as possible – directly.

Theft, robbery, and vandalism must also be reported to the police.

If possible, collect details about the accident and the parties involved, such as license plates, full names, and contact information.

In the event of a traffic accident with serious injuries, call emergency services at 112.

Always inspect the car before driving to check for any damage or defects. If you find any, report them in the app or contact our customer service.

Store your personal belongings securely so they don’t pose a risk to passengers.
